Keeping things running safe and smooth.
#TBT

Due to some icy road conditions in the district, Hardin Northern will be starting today, Thursday, December 12th, on a two-hour delay. Any further updates will be sent in a timely manner. Please use caution when driving. Have a good day.

Way to go Kolt! Congratulations! 👏

The Hardin Northern RoboBears, our amazing robotics team, inspired future innovators today! They gave an exciting presentation about their robot and explained how it all worked to Mrs. Mast’s 3rd grade class.
The 3rd graders even got hands on, brainstorming how they would program a robot of their own. It was a fantastic opportunity to spark creativity and introduce the next generation to the world of robotics and problem solving.
Great job RoboBears for inspiring young minds!

Congratulations Noah & Levi! 👏

Last night, the Hardin Northern Junior High Girls hosted North Baltimore.

Math + Creativity in Second Grade! 🎄🎨
The second graders at Hardin Northern have been hard at work reviewing their double-digit subtraction skills and showing off their creativity! To celebrate their progress, they made a fun craft and designed their very own Santa cookie plates. 🍪
Great job, second grade! Your hard work and holiday spirit are shining bright!

Congratulations Ollie & Xavier! 👏

There are two separate Scholarship funds though Hardin Northern.
The first is the Hardin Northern Community Scholarship. Money given to this fund is given to graduating seniors that are attending college the following year. The scholarships are typically $500 each. This is a cash in cash out type scholarship. The class of 2024 had 8 $500 Community Scholarship winners.
The second is the Hardin Northern Scholarship Foundation. Donations to the foundation of less than $10,000 are deposited and the interest goes to fund Polar Bear Legacy Scholarships of $500 each. The money donated is never spent, only the interest. So the larger the foundation grows, the more legacy scholarships we can give. In addition, donations of $10,000 or more become named scholarships of their own with independent applications. The class of 2024 was awarded 4 $500 Polar Bear Legacy Scholarship, 1 $1,000 Norma Bibler Scholarship, and 2 $500 and 2 $300 Robert P. Wildman Scholarships.
So, if you would like to donate to either of these scholarship funds, please write a check to the fund you wish to donate to. Either the HN Community Scholarship or the HN Scholarship Foundation. Checks can be mailed to the school in care of Andy Wilson. If you are interested in naming a scholarship with a $10,000 donation, you can talk to Mr. Wilson for more information.
PS. A reminder to the winners from the class of 2024 to claim your scholarships once first semester is complete.

The Hall of Distinction Committee is seeking nominations for the Hall of Distinction. If you would like to nominate a Dola, Dunkirk, or HN graduate that you think has gone on to distinguish themselves in their chosen careers and or communities please go to this site and nominate them by January 31, 2025.
