Tonight at the Hardin Northern varsity boys basketball game, we’re doing something special! Before the varsity starters are announced, we’ll be turning out the lights and asking everyone to turn on their cell phone flashlights to light up the gym. We will do this for every home game!
Come out tonight, show your Polar Bear pride, and cheer on our team! It’s going to be an unforgettable night of basketball and community spirit. Let’s pack the stands and make some noise! Also, it is Neon Night, so wear your brightest clothes!

This week Ms. DeLong's class read gingerbread stories. They made paper gingerbread houses and then wrote why their house would be the best to buy. Mr. Halsey read their papers and picked a few houses he would buy! The first graders ended their gingerbread week by decorating their own gingerbread cookies and writing the steps of how to eat a gingerbread cookie!

This week, the third-grade students in Mrs. Morris' class have been getting into the holiday spirit by practicing their reading fluency and expression with Christmas carols during their small reading groups. With cheerful enthusiasm, they’ve worked hard to perfect their rhythm and tone, bringing the magic of the season to life through their voices. Today, they joyfully shared their caroling performances with the elementary students and staff, spreading holiday cheer throughout the school. Their hard work and festive spirit truly brightened everyone’s day!

Last night’s Hardin Northern Junior High and High School Band and Choir Concert was absolutely amazing! The students sounded incredible and truly put us in the holiday spirit with their performances. Hats off to Mr. Reeves and Ms. Irwin for their outstanding leadership and dedication to these talented students.
It was such a great all-around performance, and we couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved. Thank you for making the evening so special for our community! 🎄

Yesterday the juniors joined Mr. Foster as they visited the National Air Force Museum at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. This was their field trip reward they earned by passing the American History AIR test last year. While at the museum the students completed a photo scavenger hunt and explored exhibits focusing on such famous events as the Berlin Airlift and the dropping of the atomic bomb.
While no one was brave enough to try one of the aircraft simulators, they did try their luck at a spacewalk. Of particular interest was the retired Air Force One that served eight different presidents. Students could walk inside and see where Lyndon Johnson took the oath of office and even saw where the casket that held John Kennedy’s body was kept. Students were also able to visit the Memphis Belle and Bockscar.

Good luck Bears! 🏀
