A huge shoutout to all the Hardin Northern students, from kindergarten through 12th grade, who came together to decorate the halls! The warm and welcoming atmosphere you created is a wonderful tribute to our veterans, showing appreciation for their service. Thank you to each and every one of you for your hard work and creativity-it truly makes a difference. Great job to all!

Today, Hardin Northern proudly held our annual Veterans Day program. It was a morning filled with gratitude and respect as we honored our area veterans who joined us for breakfast and shared wonderful company with each other. A special thank you to Judge Steven Christopher, a Hardin Northern graduate from the Class of 1977, who delivered an inspiring message. We’re incredibly grateful to all the students who contributed to making this program so meaningful. And most importantly thank you to all of our veterans for your service, sacrifice, and dedication.

4th grade celebrated National Stem Day by doing Turkey Races! Students used balloons, paper, straws, and tape to create their own turkey. We then took turns racing them across the classroom!

Congratulations to Mr. Brian Reeves on being named the Ohio Middle Level Association Northwest Region Teacher of the Year!
Today, Mr. Suter’s GRIT Club: Build and Fly took to the skies! The students have been hard at work designing and building their own airplanes, and today was launch day! They’re having an amazing time, learning new techniques, and putting a range of skills to the test to get their creations soaring. Way to go, GRIT Club!

Yesterday, Hardin Northern hosted the November Hardin County Student Leadership meeting. 4 Sophomore students from each county school attended. HN's Sophomores Stella Morrison, Lexi Oakley, Cody Thiel, & Keston Emerine presented about the district and took the group on a tour of the building & grounds to show off what makes HN unique from other districts. Jim Whitaker from OhioHealth spoke to students about his leadership experiences and broke the large group into teams for a competitive building challenge. Deb Oestreich from Safe Haven also shared with students about her agency's supportive role in Hardin County. The next Student Leadership meeting will be hosted by Kenton in December. Thank you to 101 Smokehouse for donating lunch, Mae's Sweets for the HN cookies, and Mr. Reeves for creating the various school inspired discs that each student was able to take home with them.
