SIGHT WORD CLUB In kindergarten, when you are able to read 100 sight words, you get to join the sight word club. The "club house" is in the hallway, and the students get to choose where they'd like to be and what pose they'd like to have. Once they are able to read 100 sight words, they then work on spelling them. Once all 100 words have been spelled, they are able to go on the wall again. Keep an eye out for updates on who joins the wall throughout the school year. So far, Liza and Charlie have showed they can read 100 sight words. Great job and congratulations!!

Kindergarten students have been learning about Arctic animals. They researched and wrote about 11 animals, did 3 crafts, measured life sized Arctic animals (using bodies, blocks, and shoes), created habitats from salt dough, and created igloos from marshmallows and icing. This project helped us learn about the Arctic's habitat, what the animals need to survive, and how a human survives living in those conditions!
