Hatch Excitement in the Classroom! This spring, Mrs. Morris' third-grade classroom has been buzzing with anticipation, curiosity, and lots of learning—all thanks to a very special science project: hatching chicken eggs! Over the past few weeks, students have transformed into “chicken experts” as we explored the life cycle of a chicken from egg to chick. With the help of a classroom incubator, we carefully monitored temperature and humidity, counted down the days, and made predictions about when our chicks would hatch. Along the way, we read fiction and nonfiction books about chickens, learned new vocabulary, and wrote about what we observed. Students asked thoughtful questions, made detailed observations, and even shared fun facts with their classmates. Watching the eggs finally hatch was a moment of pure excitement and wonder! This hands-on experience brought science to life and helped our students connect what they’ve read and learned to the real world. We are so proud of our third graders for their curiosity, care, and dedication throughout this project. It’s been an egg-cellent adventure!
