HN 1st graders were “busy as bees” studying bees in order to teach others about their importance. They read books in groups to learn facts, completed art projects, wrote and typed a nonfiction story, and worked together to make many other displays for Hardin Northern Showcase Night. They also taught kindergarten students about bees. They taught them about the parts of the bee, the types of bees you find in a hive, the life cycle, and more! The kindergarten students got to use our “pollination station” to see how bees pollinate plants! Then if they pledged to save the bees, they signed our honeypot.
