This week kindergarten is wrapping up their Arctic Animals PBL! Students have been learning all about the animals that live in the arctic, why the arctic is important to us, and all about climate change and how it has affected the animals of the arctic. In these photos you can see that students were measuring pieces of yarn. These pieces were cut to the lengths of arctic animals, and then students used school boxes, little bears, cubes, their shoes, and their own bodies to measure these animals. Then they had to count and write how many units long each animal was. It was a great time! Keep your eyes open to more stuff this week. We hope to make polar bears, igloos, dog sleds, and our own arctic habitats!
