The 3rd grade classes got together and read “My Mouth is a Volcano”. The book hits the nail right on the head with why listening is so important and reinforced some of the rules they have in the classroom. The premise of the book is about interrupting and how hard it is to just listen and not put your two cents in right when it comes into your head! After reading the classes discussed how they and Mrs. Morris and Mrs. Mast can remain calm and patient as we get into our daily routines. They followed up the reading with show what it looks to remain calm (mentos and water) and what it looks like to “explode” (mentos and coke)
