Here is Brenna’s take on the experience – “I went down to Mrs. Delong’s first grade classroom and gave a lesson on the importance of animal health on the farm and how to keep their animals healthy. The kids learned about salmonella and how it can not only get animals sick but it can get humans sick as well. The kids were excited to learn about the animals and were not shy about chiming in with their own experiences with farm animals! It was fun to talk to the kids and to hear their stories relating to agriculture.”
