On January 11th,  Hardin Northern JH & HS students were able to create their own version of a feather during the Mental Health & Wellness Day. Students created feathers that were unique to them using various art supplies, designs, and positive sayings that reflected them as an individual. Art is a great way to express thoughts and feelings in a positive way. Artistic expression increases creativity, boosts neural plasticity (the brain’s ability to restructure, repair, or recreate pathways or thinking), and increases serotonin levels (chemical released when someone is happy).
