TO APPLY FOR HN REP POSITION PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:
- Email a resume and max 500 word response to the following prompts to Ms. Overs (emily.overs@hardinnorthern.
org) by midnight on July 29th, 2020. - Prompt #1: Why do you want to be the 2020 Hardin County Fair King/Queen?
- Prompt #2: What makes you the ideal candidate for the 2020 Hardin County Fair King/Queen?
- Suggestions of info to include in the resume would be: Junior Fair activities and/or awards, school and community activities and/or awards, and leadership roles.
- Interviews will be held on an as needed basis.
PARTICIPATION RULES

Contestants must be a senior during the 2020-2021 school year and CAN NOT be married, not been married or have a child.

Contestants must be a resident of a Hardin County or Hardin County School District.

Contestants must be a current member, in good standing of a Hardin County organization represented on the Hardin County Junior Fair Board. The organizations are as follows:

- FFA
- FCCLA (FCS)
- Farm Bureau Youth Council
- Grange Youth
- Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts
- 4-H
- High School Art Department

Contestants must apply through the Hardin County School attending. At-Large candidates apply through the Hardin County Extension Office. Eligibility for the At-Large candidates positions include those not attending a county school but are home schooled, schooled online, or open enrollment outside of Hardin County must apply at the Hardin County Extension Office. (see rule 2 & 3)

The person selected queen will be required to participate in the 2021 Ohio Fairs Queen Contest at the Ohio Fair Managers Convention in Columbus, Ohio. This is held during the first week of January.

The King and Queen Crowning will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 promptly at 6:30 in the Grandstand. (Band Show starts at 7:00) Queen candidates should wear formals and king candidates suits.
