On Tuesday, Dr. Karen Kier, Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of Drug and Health Information at Ohio Northern University, gave a presentation to grades 9-12 and 6-8 on the facts concerning the vaping epidemic. Each presentation lasted for about 45 minutes and included time at the end for student questions and discussion. Dr. Kier presented the students with updated facts and research on the harms of vaping and addiction. Dr. Kier would like to continue working with Hardin Northern, as well as the other county schools in an effort to educate students, parents, and community members about the help and assistance that Ohio Northern’s HealthWise can provide. Hardin Northern is very appreciative of Dr. Kier’s time and willingness to help our school and community.
