February 18th through 24th was National FFA week and the Hardin Northern FFA had an exciting week celebrating this wonderful event. To celebrate, the FFA chapter had dress up days related to Agriculture themes, a Family Fun Night, hosted a blood drive, held a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, encouraged members to drive their tractor to school, hosted a community breakfast and rounded out the week by attending a Toledo Walleye hockey game. To start of the week, on Tuesday, the FFA hosted a family fun night for the members and their families. Attendees got to partake in fun games like Heads-Up, Giant Kerplunk and Twister. Wednesday, the American Red Cross came to HN for students and community members to donate blood, the drive went over well with 19 pints of blood being donated helping save 57 lives! It was a fun filled Friday as the chapter hosted a community breakfast for their supporters as well as members driving their tractors to school. Also, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament was held for the students and staff of Hardin Northern. The teacher team of Mr. Cano, Mr. Rettig and Mr. Dennis came out on top to win the First Annual FFA Classic. The proceeds from the tournament will be donated to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. To round out the week, a group of 35 FFA members and their family members attended a Toledo Walleye Hockey game to end the week-long celebration of The National FFA Organization.
