On October 25-27th the Hardin Northern FFA attended the 90th National Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana. On the way there, members took a tour of Tuttle Apple Orchard in Greenfield, Indiana. While there they had the privilege to see the different types of apples grown on the orchard, taste a variety of apples, experience how the orchard staff sorts, grades and processes apples as well as the making of apple cider. The members got the privilege of listening to the retiring address of National FFA Central Region Vice President Valerie Earlie. Two of the sessions HN attended there was a motivational speaker, Laila Ali and Mick Ebeling. Laila Ali talked about her boxing career and how we should all follow our passions. Mick Ebeling shared how you should make the impossible become possible. The members also got to watch Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo, explore the Expo Center, and meet members from other chapters. One chapter HN met was Kearney FFA from Nebraska. Both, Kearney and HN chapters went to ZipCity one evening for a eventful night of dodgeball, ziplining and trampoline games.
