Hardin Northern FFA is teaching elementary students about all things agricultural. October 13th the kindergarten classes came to the Ag building where the children sat through a slideshow explaining how pumpkins grow, the different types, and the many uses of pumpkins. A pumpkin vine, bloom, and seeds allowed students to witness the stages of pumpkin growth. To end the event, the students were able to paint their own pumpkins donated by Julie Hites of Hites Farm. The FFA is excited to continue these lessons with more grades each month.
