The FFA chapter started off a competitive CDE season with a young soils team ready to compete! The HN Team first took a stab at judging soil at the invite the HN Chapter host. Team placed 16th out of 52 at the invite on September 13th. The team for the HN annual invite consisted of N. Gauntt, T. Steele, W. Crooks, A. Obenour, L. Good, and L. Wilson. The Team High Individual was Good placing 31st out of 212 judgers.
On September 28th, the HN FFA Soils Team traveled to Spencerville for the District 4 Soils Invitational. This was for all District 4 schools consisting of 29 teams. The HN team placed 14th overall, with Good placing 30th out of 100 for Team High Individual. The team for the Spencerville invite consisted of W. Crooks, A. Obenour, L. Good, and L. Wilson. The team was coached by Andy Wilson. Mr. Wilson and Ms. Overs are excited to see what next year’s judging season has in store for the young team!
