This year was the first annual Hardin Northern Science Fair. All Hardin Northern students in grades 5-10 participated for a grade. The students were allowed to pick their experiment and make their own tri-fold posters. The project was done outside of class. The project was introduced to students at the beginning of the school year and worked on all the way up to February. All the posters were set up in the Junior High gym to be judged. The fair started at 3:30 on February 17 and went on until around 7:00 that night. The students were independently judged. They were called up and they would describe their experiment to the judges. The judges then scored them for their grade. Over 200 students competed in the science fair.
