The high school choir and several members of the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) helped serve meals and provided entertainment at the Dunkirk Community Center. The meal was provided to the Dunkirk community to ensure that everyone could have a Thanksgiving dinner this year. The HN Music Boosters were the main hosts of the event and helped prepare the meals of beans, chicken and noodles, scalloped potatoes, rolls with butter, cornbread, and an assortment of pies, cakes, and cookies.
“This was our third year doing this,” Kelly Eikenbary, the choir teacher, said. The choir sang Christmas songs which put many smiles on the community members faces. Grace King also performed the song “Rise” by Katy Perry.
“It was so cool to share the love of Christ to people during this special holiday. I have so much, it’s nice to give back to the community,” said Claira Wilson, a member of the FCA. The FCA members were the main servers of the night, scooping all of the food onto the community members plates. It was definitely a good act of service and kindness for both of these groups to coordinate.
