Hardin Northern’s varsity basketball team began their season with Midnight Madness. The eight hour practice was broken down into hour long segments that included different basketball skills and intense conditioning. This was like having four separate practice sessions in order to prepare for upcoming scrimmages. Coach Thomas said that he decided to practice all night in order to set a new standard of expectation for the team and community.
Midnight Madness was not only a practice but also a bonding experience for members of the team. The players enjoyed the new activity and look forward to the upcoming season. Hopefully the team will have a successful season with excellent senior leadership.
Senior player Bradlee Watts said, “I think that we will win more games and we will pack bigger crowds.”
