One new addition to the Art Department for the 2016-2017 school year is elementary art classes. Students in grades three and four will be participating this semester and grades five and six will be participating during the second semester.
Mrs. Cano is currently teaching students about the elements of art and how to use them to create successful works of art. Both grades have also studied Vincent van Gogh’s life and are recreating two of his famous works of art.
The fourth graders are working on oil pastel drawings of Starry Night and third graders are using watercolors to paint van Gogh’s painting Sunflowers.
